Docker

This course will explore Docker from the very basics of installation and function to an in depth review of the use cases and advanced features. We will go into details about how Docker images are architected, and provide your team a better understanding of how to manage Container based applications.

Once we have a good understanding of the basics, we will dive into the advanced use cases and uncover the power of the entire system including Dockerfile, Builds and Network Configuration; Docker Commands and Structures; Integration and Use Cases.

Kubernetes

Kubernetes is an open source orchestration system for Docker containers. It handles scheduling onto nodes in a compute cluster and actively manages workloads to ensure that their state matches the user’s declared intentions. Using the concepts of “labels” and “pods”, it groups the containers which make up an application into logical units for easy management and discovery.

This course will cover the basics of deploying and orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes. It will give hands experience to your team through the end-to-end process of creating a Kubernetes application architecture, building and configuring Docker images, and deploying them on a Kubernetes cluster. Advanced topics, such auto-scaling, version control, and upgrades and rollbacks will also be covered.

Mesos

This intensive  hands-on Mesos training course is designed to provide working developers, DevOps staff, sys admins and other technology professionals with a comprehensive introduction to Apache Mesos. During the course attendees will deploy a complete Apache Mesos-based Data Center Operating System (DCOS) running Apache Mesos, Marathon, Mesos DNS, Chronos and Docker.

Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of Apache Mesos, its place in the market and how Apache Mesos integrates with higher level systems like Kubernetes, Spark and Hadoop, as well as lower level systems like OpenStack and AWS. Upon completion of the course attendees will have the skills and information necessary to manage the data center with Apache Mesos.

Big Data

One of the most basic problems of big data is that  traditional, centralized computing approaches and resources are not sufficient or effective. Enter massively parallel computing to better serve the ever-growing mounds of data that people and organizations generate in the digital age. In this course, students get hands-on experience in developing software for massively parallel computing resources. Topics and technologies covered include MapReduce, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka and Cassandra.

We will provide hands on training in exploring enterprise wide data, building data pipelines to handle batch and streaming data, apply transformation and operations, building Machine Learning and GIS analytics application, and using visualization libraries to visualize Big Data.

Continuous delivery is an essential feature of  modern web applications.  More frequent releases actually make it a lot easier to deliver rapidly changing customer requirements instead of delaying releases for a lengthy interval of time. With a continuous delivery strategy, your app is a series of snapshots built over time that allow you to easily identify where potentially-breaking changes occurred, or regressions were introduced.
